POC Helmets

POC, the makers of POC Helmets, is a European active wear company based in Stockholm, Sweden. They focus on the improvement and development of clothing and equipment designed to reduce injuries from crashes in cycling and other “gravity sports” like skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking.

POC Helmets

Founded in 2005, the company made its first mark in the industry with an introduction at ISPO Munich, the immensely successful, annual, international sporting goods trade show, where it introduced the company’s goal of reducing the impact on the brain and body, primarily the spinal code, in the even of a crash.

Publicly, POC was introduced to the world in the 2006 Winter Olympics when Julia Mancuso of the US Women’s Ski Team won gold in the giant slalom wearing a POC Helmet and goggles.

Since then, POC has grown to work with a large group of professional athletes from the X Games, Olympic, and World Championship circuits. They have partnered with the Cannondale-Garmin Pro Cycling Team and, believe it or not, the Volvo Car Group, a leader in automobile safety and design. Such partnerships and high end research and technology developments through their POC Labs and WATTS Labs facilities have earned POC numerous design and safety awards.

Why We Love POC Helmets

It is because of POC’s commitment to safety, not just for the head, but also for the body, and the innovations they have developed in the industry that has drawn Meloncase to promote POC helmets. We are confident in their equipment’s ability to protect the head from serious damage in a crash, while doing so in a helmet design that is attractive and appealing for all riders.

POC Helmets have a very large fan base with over 78,000 Facebook likes with approximately 3,000 people talking about them on Facebook at any given time. They also have over 12.5K followers on Twitter.

Where to Buy POC Helmets

There are approximately 3,500 stores on 6 continents what stock POC Helmets. Unfortunately, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have good access to their full lineup of helmets and other protective gear. One of the best places to purchase POC Helmets is on Amazon. They offer a great selection of POC helmets at better prices than in stores. Most also come with free shipping through Amazon Prime.

About MelonCASE.com

MelonCASE was created to increase helmet awareness while building community and friendship. The creativity comes from our passion to protect the brain and head through the use of helmets. Helmet awareness has improved in recent years, but there is still a lot of work to be done. Many still chose to not wear helmets while participating in activities where head injuries are possible. Additionally, we want to provide a means from consumers to make smart choices when they are selecting a helmet. After all, it's your head that you're protecting and we want you to use it when choosing the right helmet for your outdoor activities. It's our goal to provide our visitors with a large variety of choices when it comes to proper and serious head care. Whether the helmet is for yourself or for a loved one, the right helmet is out there ready to do its job. No matter what sport or activity you're doing when your head could be at risk, we hope you take protecting your melon as seriously as we do. ~ MelonCASE.com
