Shred Ready helmets was born from its founder’s passion of whitewater kayaking. Back in the late 1990’s the company was begun with the intention of bringing superior protective gear to the growing sport. They have focused on helmet manufacturing and design utilizing the most advanced materials available.
Since their inception, Shred Ready has expanded their capabilities and product line to include protective gear for a number of other sports including skiing, wake boarding, snowboarding, and stand up paddle boarding (SUP).
Back in February 2016, Shred Ready announced they were “back in the boat” after a year of “production portages.” My interpretation is that they halted or severely slowed down production of products in order to reboot their line with better quality products.
In the summer of 2016 they introduced new versions of their classic models: Sesh, Supper Scrappy, and their standard models (Half Cut, Full Cut, and Full Face). As well they introduced a new model, the Outfitter Pro. Additional models are scheduled for production reboots in 2017.
So it looks like Shred Ready took what were amazing helmets, that were really popular, and made them even better. This is an exciting time for the company. I think their new line ups will be well received by their loyal customers and raving fans.
